Show Her How You Feel on Valentine's Day
Guys, stop your whining.
Valentine’s Day isn’t another commercialized attempt to empty your pocketbooks, says Patti Stanger, founder of the Millionaire’s Club and host of Bravo’s The Millionaire Matchmaker.

It’s the day to tell your special someone what she means to you.

“The bottom line is, if you cherish us, we’ll give you the world,” she says. “You go cheap or last-minute, and you’ll sleep alone.”

We know it can be frustrating finding the perfect gift that reflects what’s in your heart — and hers. But remember, this isn’t about you. It’s about her, says Stanger.

So here are a few simple tips and some affordable options:

To say, "I like you"
You just started going out, and there’s a spark of interest you hope will turn into an inferno. Play it safe with a pair of earrings, such as a pair of personalized hoops

“Everyone needs a great pair of hoops,” says Duvall O’Steen, spokesperson for the World Gold Council. “Hoops are back in a big way. They are functional and fashionable, and they won’t go out of fashion like a handbag or shoes.”

Swarovski Name Necklaces: You’re not quite ready to profess undying love, so play it safe with a Swarovski and Birthstone Name Necklace.
It symbolizes friendship and joy, and a chance at something more.

In additition, you may want to consider a pink acrylic name necklace which conveys pure affection. In fact, pink jewelry is known to charm women with innocence and sweetness.

To say, "I want you"
Your first thought is a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates and lingerie.
Sounds good, but Stanger says, “unless we look like Pamela Anderson, we don’t want lingerie. We don’t want tech gifts either.”
Stanger suggests something romantic but not overtly sexual. A personalized bracelet or anklet is the fitting solution since it says: “I’m bonding you to me or me to you or whatever you want it to mean." Get her something that makes her feel special. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel,” Stanger says.

To say, "I love you"
When you’ve reached I love you, there’s no room for being cheap... Think sentimental.

“People want pieces of jewelry that connect one another and pieces they’ll have for years to come,” says Helena Krodel, spokesperson for the Jewelry Information Center in New York. “Ask any woman about her jewelry, and she has a story behind it.”
Diamonds are now and forever.
Take your pick from personalized jewelry.

Finally, name necklaces are winners. Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw nearly lost her mind when she lost her gold “Carrie” necklace.
